Serving veterans, active-duty service members, and their families across Greater Yamhill County
Welcome. The VFW Auxiliary exists for people who understand military service up close — not just as a headline, but as a lived experience. If you grew up in a military family, love someone who served overseas, or want to stand beside those who have carried the weight of war, you may have a place here.
An active and engaged Auxiliary strengthens the VFW Post. A strong Post strengthens veterans, their families, and the community as a whole. We support veterans and military families through outreach, scholarships, community events, advocacy, and direct assistance when it is needed most.
This is not "just meetings and minutes.” It is connection. It is service, and it is healing. It is meaningful work that matters — and a community where isolation doesn’t get the last word.
Membership does not require a major time commitment. You can simply be a member and support the mission, or you can get involved as your schedule allows. We offer monthly meetings with a Zoom option to make participation accessible.
Officer and committee roles are available for members who feel called to step into leadership and are voted into those positions.

You may qualify for membership if you are related to a veteran who served overseas in a foreign conflict and is eligible for VFW membership. Spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and siblings of qualifying veterans may be eligible.
There is a small annual membership fee, and those dues directly help fund programs, host events, and support veterans and their families right here in Greater Yamhill County.
Community matters. Legacy matters. Showing up matters.
No one does more for veterans.
For membership, donations, or partnership opportunities, contact Auxiliary President Samantha Cooley.
